Netherlands Institute For Sound And Vision / Neutelings & Riedjik

At the end of last year was inaugurated one of the most recent works of Neutelings & Riedijk Architects , the Institute for Image and Sound , located in the town of Hilversum , Netherlands.

The building has a mirror scheme, where the zero level acts as a virtual plane that equally distributes five underground levels, underground and five above ground levels up. On the ground level are the Dutch National Archives Record , both radio and television. These files are distributed along a deep central void. On the zero level, a volume with a particular facade contains the Media Museum . A third element is the building of the Institute offices .

The three volumes together make a huge public covered atrium. The facade of the building is a display of colored glass, designed by graphic designer Jaap Drupstee , in which representative images were printed on Dutch television.
