Paloma music complex in Nimes by tetrarc architectes

paloma music complex in nimes by tetrarc architectes

in nîmes of southern france, an exuberant city filled with artists, is the 'paloma' complex by french firm tetrarc. dedicated to contemporary music,
the venue integrates two concert halls, twelve rehearsal and recording studios, six accommodations for performers in residence, administration offices
and technical facilities. an exterior shell made form zinc emerges from the ground and begins to stretch, fray and break apart near the edges.
a large screen protrudes from the northwest facade, announcing events and performers.

inside, bold colors saturate the rooms where the public and artists meet. representing the colors of the bullfight, a bright yellow and purple foyer,
stairway and patio along with red entries to the main concert halls. geometries of the walls evoke a bullfighters movements while images
of the crowd are projected over the seats within the large auditorium.
