48 North Canal Road, Singapore | WOHA

WOHA have designed a new boutique office behind of a pair of heritage-listed shophouses in the centre of Singapore. The design is of a fractal, triangulated geometry that was informed by the need to comply with requirements to have splayed corners. This geometry is expressed in both plan and elevation in the form of angled walls and planes. Shading is provided by an integrated sunscreen within the curtain wall system and a series of perforated external aluminium panels. The building incorporates an urban park in its centre.
