French artisan duo Zim & Zou teamed up with compatriot fashion house Hermés to create a new installation at the brand’s Shanghai outpost. The two devised a series of leather sculptures of owls, caterpillars, peacocks, koi fish and more, mimicking the colorfulness of a museum installation amongst the store’s array of goods. Each piece is meticulously layered with rich tonal leather and thick paper, all sourced from Hermés’ workshop in Paris. Two main windows focus on oceanic and airborne wildlife, while two smaller ones zero in on our land-based creature friends. Enjoy a look through this illustrious new display by Zim & Zou, and be sure to peruse the rest of their work on the duo’s website.
